Khaberni - A number of users of the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max in Cosmic Orange have complained of their devices changing to Rose Gold after a short period of use.
Initially, complaints were limited on social media, but have increased lately, raising concerns among early users.
The issue has also been noticed in the Deep Blue variant.
Users suspect that the cause is exposure to ultraviolet (UV) rays, which leads to the fading of the metallic paint around the camera and then the rest of the body, while the glass layer remains intact.
So far, Apple has not issued an official comment, but reports expect that the affected devices will be replaced if a defect in the paint or manufacturing is confirmed.
Review sites have confirmed that they did not notice a color change in the units they tested, indicating that the defect may be limited to specific production batches.
