Khaberni - Jordan occupied the third position among Arab countries in obtaining immigration visas to the United States, where the number of visas granted to Jordanians was about 4,700 last year.
These visas are part of the American immigration programs which include family relations, employment opportunities, asylum, and the diversity immigration program, allowing the holders to reside and work permanently in the United States.
According to data from the US Department of State, the total number of immigration visas granted worldwide was about 612,000 visas that year.
Yemen topped the Arab list with 6,400 visas, followed by Egypt with 6,100 visas, while Jordan was in third place, ahead of countries such as Morocco (4,687 visas), Lebanon (3,881 visas), Algeria (3,452 visas), Sudan (2,997 visas), and Syria (2,574 visas).
