The Crown Prince Follows a Rapid Intervention Battalion Exercise

Khaberni - His Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, on Wednesday, followed the tactical exercise (Mountain Warrior) carried out by the Rapid Intervention Battalion Mghaweer/61, one of the units of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan/ Rapid Intervention Brigade.

Upon his arrival at the exercise site, His Highness was welcomed by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Ahmed Al Huneiti, the Brigade Commander, and several high-ranking officers of the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army.

His Highness the Crown Prince listened to a briefing on the proceedings and phases of the exercise, which is aimed at enhancing training efficiency and combat readiness.

The exercise included the use of drones to engage targets, ‏firing from helicopters, sniper firing using‏ light and medium weapons, conducting resupply operations in mountainous areas, descending rocky segments, in addition to a ground to air medical evacuation.

His Highness the Crown Prince praised the professional level of the participants and their precision in hitting targets and dealing with the varying conditions of the exercise, as well as the high morale of the battalion's members.

His Highness also visited an exhibition of modern electronic weapons, equipment, and vehicles used in the battalion.
