Youssef Saleh gets closer to representing AlNashama officially

Khaberni - The young Jordanian striker Youssef Saleh is nearing an official move to join the ranks of the Jordanian national team, in a long-awaited step, according to the Jordanian professionals site, after the player expressed his preliminary agreement to represent Al-Nashama team in the upcoming period. He is expected to make his first appearance in the anticipated friendly match against the Tunisian team in November.

Saleh, born in Denmark in 2002 to a Jordanian Palestinian father and a Polish mother, has four nationalities and is eligible to represent the national teams of Jordan, Palestine, Poland, and Denmark. However, the Jordanian Football Association has recently intensified its communication with the player and succeeded in convincing him to join the ambitious Al-Nashama team project, especially after the historic qualification to the 2026 World Cup.

Youssef Saleh has an outstanding professional career in Europe, which started in 2008 in Danish academies, before moving to "HIK" club, where he emerged as one of the best young talents, which later qualified him to move to the prestigious Brondby club.
Despite not getting enough chances with the first team, the player had two successful loan spells, one of them with Koge club where he scored 15 goals in 25 matches.

In February 2024, Saleh moved to the Swedish club Sirius for 1.3 million euros, where he shone remarkably, scoring 13 goals and creating 3 others in 29 matches, before being snapped up by English club Cardiff City at the beginning of 2025 in a deal valued at 4 million euros.

In just half a season, Youssef scored 9 goals in 22 matches, becoming Cardiff's second top scorer and establishing himself as one of the leading young attacking faces in the Championship.

Youssef Saleh's joining Al-Nashama could be officially announced in the coming days, after sources close to the association confirmed that matters are heading towards a decisive outcome, to become one of the most prominent new faces in the Jordanian lineup in preparation for upcoming international events.
