Khaberni - Egyptian security forces were able to uncover the details of a woman's distress after someone created a fabricated and inappropriate video of her daughter using artificial intelligence techniques.
Investigations reported that on May 28, 2025, a complaint was filed at the Mansoura Police Center in the Dakahlia Security Directorate, by a girl (a student residing within the jurisdiction of the center). She reported being defamed on a social media application, after receiving a video with her face edited onto it using artificial intelligence.
She stated that the perpetrator was a student living in the same area, and that his motive for the act was revenge for her refusal to be in a relationship with him.
