Khaberni - Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso praised Turkish player Arda Guler, expressing his pride in the player's importance to his plans, considering him "a mix between Mesut Ozil and Guti thanks to his skills."
Alonso said, "He resembles Ozil not only because of the place they come from. He has a talent that is a mix of Ozil and Guti. Guti was skilled at building and finishing attacks. When Arda is present, our level improves. We must continue to support and cheer him, but we are very happy with his maturity and the seriousness he is gaining in his style of play."
Regarding the third round match of the Champions League stage against Juventus, Alonso emphasized the importance of the return of right-back players Dani Carvajal and Trent Alexander-Arnold, without revealing who will start, ruling out Dean Huysen and Dani Ceballos participating in the match.
He stated: "It's a classic European match. Juve belongs to the elite category in European football and they have faced Real Madrid many times, I participated in one of them. We are fully prepared for the confrontation, the team aims to achieve its third win in the Champions and have a very good start. We will need the support of the fans."
Xabi admitted that he was following "Los Merengues" last season even though he was not the coach, recalling the poor start of the Spanish team in the Champions League group stage. He aims to finish that phase among the top eight to secure direct qualification to the knockout stages.
He warned: "Juve has been performing impressively up to three weeks ago, achieving very positive results. They won magnificently against Inter, and regardless of their recent results, we are preparing strongly for tomorrow's clash.
