Khaberni - The U.S. Vice President JD Vance expressed optimism about the results of the agreement so far during a press conference on his visit to Israel, saying that "things are going better than we expected", and he issued a decisive warning to "Hamas", stating: "Hamas needs to surrender its weapons, and fighters can be granted amnesty", adding: "If Hamas does not cooperate, it will be eliminated".
He explained, "If Hamas does not surrender its weapons, bad things will happen, and if it does, it will be good for everyone".
Vance thanked the Israeli government, which "has helped us greatly", and praised the Gulf states and Asian countries and the U.S. troops who "are coordinating efforts to bring about peace," as he described.
The U.S. Vice President announced "the opening of the Civilian-Military Cooperation Center for the Reconstruction of Gaza," confirming that "the Israeli government is greatly assisting in implementing the Gaza plan".
He also assured that "the United States will not impose anything on Israel regarding the presence of forces on its territory," pointing out that "the only way to achieve peace is to focus on the future".
He indicated that "Turkey can play a constructive role in the peace plan in Gaza," confirming that the United States "is working on establishing an international force and we have a difficult task ahead that requires flexibility".
The U.S. Vice President denied that his visit was linked to the events that occurred during the past two days, confirming that it was "scheduled for a while".
Vance concluded his conference by emphasizing that the U.S. administration "is dealing with a long-term conflict and is creating a model for achieving sustainable peace", expressing his commitment to "reconstructing Gaza and ensuring that Israelis and Gazans live safely".
