Khaberni - The Government Media Office in Gaza said on Tuesday that a total of 986 humanitarian trucks have entered the Gaza Strip since the ceasefire took effect, only 986 out of 6,600 trucks that were supposed to enter by Monday evening according to what was agreed in the texts of the decision.
It noted that the humanitarian convoys included 14 trucks loaded with cooking gas and a diesel truck designated for operating bakeries, generators, hospitals, and various vital sectors, amid a severe shortage of these vital materials that residents rely on directly for daily life, after long months of systematic siege and destruction perpetrated by the Israeli occupation's genocide against the people of Gaza.
According to the Government Media Office, the average number of trucks entering the sector daily since the ceasefire took effect does not exceed 89 trucks out of 600 trucks that are supposed to enter daily, reflecting the ongoing policy of suffocation, starvation, and humanitarian extortion practiced by the occupation against more than 2.4 million Palestinians in Gaza.
It confirmed that the limited quantities entering the sector do not cover the minimum of humanitarian and living needs, and the sector urgently needs a regular and urgent flow of no less than 600 trucks of aid daily including food, medical and relief materials, operational fuel, and cooking gas, to ensure the minimum standards of a decent life.
It also pointed out that governmental bodies are ready to continue their full coordination with international humanitarian and relief institutions to organize the process of aid entry and ensure its distribution across all provinces and vital facilities for the benefit of the people of the sector.
