Khaberni - Apple offers a range of essential apps across all its operating systems, among them is the Notes app, which is considered one of the neglected apps despite its capabilities.
It is used by the majority of Apple device owners in a basic manner that does not utilize all its features, and it possesses a set of features that make it stronger than many of its competitors.
Today, we showcase a set of unknown features in the app that are not frequently used, especially after the recent updates that added artificial intelligence capabilities within the app.
1-Adding notes quickly
Many users believe that you need to open the app to use it and add notes, but recently, Apple has enabled adding notes within the app very quickly and distinctively.
You can add a special shortcut to add notes within the app through many places inside the phone, including the main control bar of the phone.
And you can do this by adding the custom shortcut provided by Apple in the control strip, and you can directly add this shortcut to the lock screen of the phone and even through using the special tasks button in iPhone 15 and newer models.
This is done by searching for the button within the place you want to add it, whether it be modifying the quick access menu or modifying the lock screen on the phone.
You can also do this by pressing the share menu in the apps inside the phone and then selecting Add Quick Note, and in this case, the link or image you pressed on is attached directly.
2-Locking notes with a password
Apple recently added the feature to lock stored materials in the phone using passwords or face ID, and you can do this easily within the Notes app as well.
This is done by pressing the three dots button in the app and then activating the lock option, and then the phone confirms the user's identity before locking the note.
It can be accessed later using face ID or password directly within the app, each time you need to access this note, and the feature works with individual notes or notebooks.
3-Displaying all attachments in the notes directly
You can access the images and links attached in the notes easily and simply by pressing the three dots button in the app and selecting view all notes.
This feature displays all attachments in all notes so you can access them quickly, and it does not display attachments stored in notes locked by a password.
4-Using smart folders
The Notes app available in Apple's systems provides the smart folders feature, which relies on conditions and rules to organize notes quickly and individually.
This feature allows the automatic arrangement of notes that comply with the rules, whether you set the rule to organize notes based on attachments, pictures, or even the last modification date and the creation date, you find the notes distributed in the appropriate folders.
You can distribute notes based on their content simply, like notes that include links or bullet lists, and even notes that include a specific tag.
5-Storing documents in the notes
Apple provides this feature in a way that simulates document scanning and storage apps like "CamScanner" and others, and later you can export this image as a document to share with other parties.
All you need to do is open the Notes app, make a new note, and then press the scan documents button to scan the image and add it to the note.
You can also write on the scanned and added image to the documents and edit the image very simply.
6-Searching for a specific note
You can search for a specific note within the app by searching for its contents, and thanks to the artificial intelligence features in Apple's systems, you can also search for images and texts within the notes.
This feature works like various search features within Apple, and also works with general concepts like images or image contents.
7-Using artificial intelligence features within the Notes app
Despite Apple's general delay in launching the anticipated artificial intelligence features previously announced, you can use these features simply within the Notes app.
Apple provides direct access to "Chat GPT" within the Notes app for its various uses with texts, whether it's summarizing, enhancing, or even direct writing.
You can also format the note using artificial intelligence and convert it into a table or bullet list, and the company allows using "Play Ground" features to convert texts within the notes into images using it.
