Khaberni - Stemming from a firm belief in the role of political parties in establishing democratic life and enhancing institutional parliamentary work, and recognizing the national responsibility at this critical stage that requires unity of efforts and visions, the Union of Centrist Parties bloc and the National Islamic Party announce the formation of the "Parliamentary Coalition" under the dome of the Parliament, in a step aimed at unifying stances on major national issues.
This coalition is in harmony with the Royal Vision and embodies the spirit of teamwork, seeking to enhance parliamentary coordination in a way that serves the supreme national interest, supports the journey of political, economic, and social reform, and solidifies the effective party presence in legislative and oversight life, keeping pace with the comprehensive modernization path in the Jordanian state.
This coalition is the fruit of understanding and coordination between the Union of Centrist Parties bloc and the National Islamic Party, aiming to form a single parliamentary coalition to enhance joint institutional parliamentary work.
This coalition aims to:
1. Coordinate parliamentary positions and unify them on major national issues.
2. Enhance the party role in parliamentary life within committees and general sessions, supporting programs and policies that benefit the nation and its citizens.
3. Joint work and collective decision-making.
4. Contribute to the establishment of values of national dialogue and intellectual plurality, and reject exclusion and extremism in all its forms.
5. Activate the oversight role of the deputies with unified positions based on well-studied national programs.
6. Support the journey of administrative, economic, and legislative reform to achieve justice and equal opportunities for all.
7. Actively participate in formulating public policies of the state and reviewing legislations directly impacting the lives of citizens.
8. Enhance communication with citizens and civil society institutions to solidify transparency, accountability, and deepen trust in elected institutions.
1. The coalition commits to its internal regulations, national constants, and respect for the Constitution.
2. Each party retains its organizational and intellectual independence outside the parliamentary framework, with decisions and positions within the House of Representatives resulting from collective coordination within the coalition structure.
3. This coalition is the fruit of understanding and coordination between the Union of Centrist Parties bloc and the National Islamic Party, whereby they together form a single parliamentary structure that makes its unified decisions based on clear organizational mechanics and a permanent office for it.
4. The coalition elects from among its members a permanent office to manage the coalition's affairs and represent it officially, and it acts as the reference in coordinating positions and formulating joint statements and proposals.
5. Periodic meetings are held between the coalition members to discuss legislative projects and monitor government performance, and decisions are taken by majority within the permanent office and are binding for all coalition members.
6. Members of the coalition belonging to the signing parties respect the decisions of the permanent office in voting and general directives within the council, provided it does not conflict with the principles of their parties.
7. The coalition's work continues throughout the duration of the parliamentary session, and it may be renewed, amended, or terminated by agreement of all signing parties.
8. Other parties may join this coalition after studying their request by the permanent office and obtaining approval from all parties.
The coalition also calls on all party and parliamentary forces to prioritize the language of dialogue and cooperation, enhance partnership and citizens' trust in elected institutions, and work together to prioritize national interest for the future of a strong, prosperous Jordan, where justice and equal opportunities prevail.
