Khaberni - The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), today, Sunday, announced the arrival of a delegation from its leadership headed by Khalil Al-Hayya to Cairo, to follow up on the implementation of the ceasefire agreement with Israel, confirming its full and precise commitment to the terms while Tel Aviv continues to breach them.
This visit coincides with the ongoing Israeli breaches of the agreement and the raids conducted since Sunday morning on various areas in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the martyrdom of at least 35 Palestinians and injuring dozens more.
The movement stated in a declaration that a delegation from the leadership of the movement arrived in the Egyptian capital Cairo headed by Khalil Al-Hayya to follow up on the implementation of the ceasefire with the mediators and Palestinian factions and forces.
Earlier, the movement stated that the Israeli occupation army still imposes its fire control on a strip extending along the temporary withdrawal line known as the "Yellow Line". It also noted the Israeli occupation's lack of commitment to the humanitarian protocol and the prevention of entry of many food categories.
It also pointed out that the occupation continues its stubbornness and delay in releasing women and children, and has not provided the movement with an accurate list of names and details of detainees in its prisons, nor the names of hundreds of martyrs whose bodies it still detains.
For its part, the Israeli occupation army said, in a statement, this Sunday evening, that it had raided dozens of targets in the Gaza Strip, claiming that Hamas violated the ceasefire agreement earlier today, despite the movement's insistence on denying it.
The army claimed that Palestinians "fired anti-tank shells and gunfire towards engineering vehicles belonging to the army working on destroying terrorist infrastructure in the Rafah area based on the terms of the agreement", according to the statement.
In contrast, Hamas denied committing any violations, affirming in a statement that it adheres to the ceasefire agreement and works to implement its terms "with precision and responsibility", emphasizing that it is Israel that continues to commit breaches of the agreement that have resulted since its implementation on October 10, 2023, in the martyrdom and injury of dozens.
The ceasefire agreement is based on the plan of the US President Donald Trump, which, in addition to stopping the war, involves the release of Israeli prisoners in Gaza as well as hundreds of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails, the ceasefire, the disarmament of the Hamas movement, and the introduction of aid to the sector.
The agreement ended a genocide initiated by Israel with American support on October 7, 2023, which resulted in 68,159 martyrs and 170,203 injuries, mostly children and women, and caused destruction affecting 90% of the civilian infrastructure in the sector.
