Khaberni - Manchester United inflicted a fourth consecutive defeat on their host Liverpool, after winning 2-1 against the reigning Premier League champions on Sunday in the match held at Anfield as part of the eighth round of the competition.
Liverpool lost its previous three matches in all competitions against Crystal Palace, Galatasaray, and Chelsea.
Bryan Mbeumo put United ahead after just two minutes, and although Cody Gakpo equalized in the 78th minute, Harry Maguire secured his team's first win at Anfield since 2016 with a goal from a free-kick in the 84th minute.
United raised their points total to 13, reaching the ninth position, while Liverpool's tally froze at 15 points in third place.
