Gaza AlSaftawi Family Threatens Sons Killers AlHabbash Steps In

Khaberni - The Palestinian Al-Saftawi family has vowed to "hold accountable" Hamas for the killing of their son, the freed prisoner Hisham Al-Saftawi, after dozens of gunmen from the movement stormed his house and killed him.

The family stated in a release that "a large force from the Qassam Brigades launched an armed attack on a family home in the Al-Nuseirat area in the middle of the Gaza Strip."

They added that "the sanctity of the home was violated, and there was aggression towards the women and children, and a group of murderers dared to violate Palestinian blood, and violated the sanctity of Hisham's house in a scene that clenches the heart with pain and arouses anger and astonishment," according to the statement.

The family continued: "We will not forgive those who transgressed against our home and son Hisham, and fired shots. To us, they are considered murderers, and we will pursue this right by all legitimate means, legally and tribally."

They noted that "they will not set up a house of mourning until the killer group is brought to trial and justice," adding: "We will hold accountable anyone who dares to attack our family, through legal and tribal means."

Mahmoud Al-Habbash, advisor to the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, stated that "Hamas's message to the citizens in Gaza is that they either govern you as they wish, or they kill you as they wish."

Al-Habbash continued in a "Facebook" post: "Hamas is committing another crime, with citizen Hisham Al-Saftawi falling victim to Hamas elements’ bullets, for nothing but his opposition to Hamas and its policies against the Palestinian people in the Strip."

Al-Habbash stated: "No amount of condemnation is sufficient to describe these crimes - they are unpatriotic, unethical, and illegal, which cannot be ignored or tolerated."
