Poll Likud Declines and Netanyahus Opponents Secure Majority

Khaberni - For the first time since January 22, the Israeli opposition parties coalition achieved a majority of 61 seats. The coalition obtained only 49 seats according to a poll by the Israeli newspaper Maariv.

The balance between the two blocks has primarily changed due to a decrease in seats for the Likud (25) and Otzma Yehudit (8), which was partially offset by an increase in seats for the Shas party to 9 seats.

In the opposition bloc, three parties gained more seats: Bennett 2026 party (22 seats), Yeshar! led by Gadi Eisenkot (14 seats), and Yesh Atid (8 seats). In contrast, the Yisrael Beiteinu party (8 seats) and the Democratic Party (9 seats) lost their seats.

The survey showed that the majority of Israelis (55%) believe that the state budget passed last week meets the political needs of the ruling coalition. Conversely, only 20% said it meets the needs of the state, while 25% had no clear opinion.
