Khaberni - The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced the death of the Jordanian citizen "Hassan," aged 67, while under their custody, according to Khaberni monitoring.
His death was reported at Larkin Community Hospital in Miami, Florida, at exactly 7:13 PM on October 11, 2025. The attending physician stated that the preliminary cause of death was cardiac arrest.

Saleh was transferred to the hospital on October 10 according to Khaberni monitoring after he developed a fever, and he was medically monitored until he lost consciousness the following evening.
Despite attempts at cardiopulmonary resuscitation, he later died, with authorities noting that Saleh had chronic diseases, including high blood pressure, heart disease, kidney disease, and diabetes.

Hassan entered the United States on March 8, 1994, on a visitor visa and was later granted permanent residency.
During his stay, he was involved in several legal issues, notably being convicted in 2018 on charges related to fraud in a food support program and money laundering, where he was sentenced to 24 months in prison.

In 2020, a final deportation order to Jordan was issued against him according to Khaberni, and he was subsequently released under monitoring conditions.
In 2025, ICE authorities in Miami re-arrested him in preparation for executing the deportation order, and he was transferred to the Krome detention center.

ICE confirmed that it informed the relevant authorities, including the Department of Homeland Security, the Office of Inspector General, and the Jordanian consulate in Washington, of the detainee's death, in accordance with policies followed in such cases.
