Khaberni - The Saudi Geological Survey registered an earthquake in the Gulf waters on Sunday morning, reaching a magnitude of 4.34 on the Richter scale, and its epicenter was determined to be about 160 kilometers northeast of Al-Khafji Governorate.
The agency clarified that the earthquake occurred at 00:27:09 AM, and was accurately detected through the national seismic monitoring stations.
It emphasized that despite being classified as a moderate strength earthquake, there have been no reports of physical damage or residents feeling the quake in the neighboring coastal cities and provinces. The relevant authorities are monitoring the situation and continue to observe seismic activity in the area as part of their ongoing efforts to ensure public safety.
