Khaberni - Employees of the Greater Ma'an Municipality have threatened a comprehensive strike starting tomorrow, Monday, in protest against the decision to reduce the annual allocation for bonuses, confirming to Khaberni that the decision has resulted in depriving them of previously agreed entitlements including bonuses and overtime.
The employees clarified in a statement issued by them and received by Khaberni that the imminent strike results from "injustice and unfairness" towards the workers who continued to perform their duties in serving the city despite the lack of staff and the rising living costs, Khaberni noting delays in disbursing financial entitlements and a decline in the percentage of annual allocations.
The employees demanded that the Ministry of Local Administration increase the annual allocation for bonuses in proportion to the number of workers and the nature of the field and service tasks they perform, to maintain the continuity of the vital services provided to the citizens, Khaberni.
