Khaberni - Nottingham Forest FC announced the firing of their Australian coach Ange Postecoglou from his position, following today’s Saturday loss against Chelsea 0-3, in the eighth round of the league championship.
Nottingham stated in a press release on its official website: "The dismissal of the Australian coach came after a series of disappointing results and poor performance, leading the club to relieve the former Tottenham coach of his duties."
The club refused in its statement to comment on anything at this time, waiting for what will happen in the coming period.
Postecoglou had taken over as Nottingham coach, succeeding the Portuguese Nuno Espirito Santo, who was fired after just three league matches. He led five league matches, lost four and drew one, and the team also lost a match in the Europa League and drew in another.
Previously, Postecoglou had managed Tottenham for two seasons and won the Europa League title last season against Manchester United, but despite this, he was dismissed and replaced by the Danish Thomas Frank.
