Khaberni - Exclusive
Jordanians questioned the existence of only one option in a link published by the Ministry of the Interior regarding the initiative to organize social events launched by Minister Mazen Al-Faraya, which is solely the endorsement option "I support", wondering "Where is democracy?"
The Ministry of the Interior published, according to what was monitored by the website "Khaberni", a link related to the initiative to organize events, but what is peculiar is that there is only one option across all three aspects concerning weddings, condolences, and dowries Khaberni which is the choice to support the terms of the initiative.
Citizens demanded through social media the presence of several options to leave Jordanians free to choose, and to have at least 3 options Khaberni between support, rejection, and reservation.
Citizens wrote that "the Ministry's democracy only allows Jordanians to support the initiative launched by the ministry itself."
Government sources justified what happened by stating that the ministry published the link for those who want to adopt the initiative Khaberni and commit to it, and did not request signatures from those who reject it.
It should be noted that sources from the site Khaberni revealed last week about a cooling and disappointment that affected the official machinery supporting Faraya's initiative, and weekends showed crowded events where commitment to the initiative is almost nonexistent, as Khaberni's monitoring of condolence events showed that Jordanians continue Khaberni to open their homes for mourning for 3 days contrary to the Interior's initiative which calls for limiting it to one day.
So far, the success of Faraya's initiative has been limited to a campaign of articles and posts Khaberni carrying a uniform content, which is support for the minister.
