Khaberni - The chairman of the Amman Municipality committee, Dr. Youssef Al-Shawarbeh, has approved a set of decisions and regulatory measures aimed at controlling expenses and rationalizing consumption in various sectors and directorates of the Municipality, including a revision of the reward system and incentives and overtime allowances.
According to the new decisions, the following was decided:
First: Organizing rewards and overtime work
50% discount on overtime allowances: Al-Shawarbeh decided to cut 50% of the overtime and additional wages allowances for all sectors, directorates, and departments affiliated to the Amman Secretary and the City Director, with instructions to the sector deputies and concerned directors to rearrange the overtime shifts according to the actual work requirements and to provide the Human Resources Department with them.
Limited rewards to "active" employees: The sector deputies, executive managers, and department directors will prepare reward lists designated only for the active staff, based on their actual achievements according to previously determined criteria.
Stopping committee rewards: Complete halt of the dispensation of the rewards allowances for permanent and temporary committees and work teams.
Incentive Study Committee: Formation of a specialized committee to study the criteria for granting rewards and incentives in the Municipality.
Second: Travel, delegations, and rationing
Suspending travel and external assignments: The chairman of the committee decided to halt all travel and external assignment decisions, and to cancel any issued decisions regarding this matter, if any.
Stopping hosting: Complete cessation of hosting all official delegations.
Controlling energy and water expenses: Full commitment to rationalizing the consumption of electricity, water, and fuel, and taking all measures capable of controlling these expenses within the Municipality’s facilities.
