Khaberni - The site P.M.EXPRESS reported a horrific crime against an elderly woman aged 64 in the Indian state of Ondo.
The site mentioned that the local police arrested a man called Ahmed Tawheed, on charges of killing his grandmother and then desecrating her corpse.
According to the official account, the tragic incident occurred on the evening of September 29, 2025, in the village of Uniseri.
The police say that the suspect grabbed his grandmother and strangled her, then sexually assaulted her lifeless body.
The public prosecutor stated during the court session that the murderer justified his heinous crime by claiming that his deceased grandmother practiced witchcraft. The young man claimed she was the reason for the series of misfortunes that befell him.
The Acuri District Court, in Oki-Idi, ordered the detention of the suspect on a provisional basis pending investigation. He was officially charged with both murder and rape.
The investigation is still ongoing to determine the full circumstances of this gruesome crime.
