Khaberni - The Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shibani confirmed that his country is holding discussions with the Russian side to review the previous agreements between the two countries, pointing out that no new agreements have yet been reached.
This was stated during Al-Shibani's interview with the Syrian television channel "Al-Ikhbariya", where he said: "There are no agreements at the moment. We haven't reached any agreements yet. The main point in any dialogue with the Russian side is to review the previous agreements."
The minister pointed out that "the relationship with Russia, China, and Europe is derived from Syria's status, and we must leverage it for the benefit of the Syrian people."
When talking about the Russian bases in Syria, the Syrian minister confirmed that this matter is subject to negotiations between Damascus and Moscow, without providing further details.
It is worth noting that the official spokesperson for the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov, previously stated that the topic of Russian military bases was included on the agenda of the talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Syrian President Ahmad Al-Shar'.
