Zelenskyy No announcement regarding Tomahawk missiles and Washington does not want escalation

Khaberni - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy refused to make any statement on Friday regarding the potential delivery of Tomahawk missiles by the United States to his country after meeting Donald Trump in Washington, asserting that the American president "does not want escalation".

Zelenskyy said at a press conference, "We also discussed the issue of long-range missiles, and I do not want to make any statement concerning this. We decided not to talk about it because (...) the United States does not want escalation."

Trump confirmed that there are concerns about the readiness of the American army during discussions about sending Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, explaining that continuing support might affect the American defensive capabilities.

When asked what the United States would do if it faced a conflict and needed those missiles, Trump replied, "That's a problem.. We need Tomahawk missiles, and we need a lot of other equipment that we have been sending to Ukraine over the past four years. We have given them a lot."
