Khaberni - The Abu Dhabi government launched the "AI in a Box" platform which does not require writing programming codes, to enable government entities' employees to easily develop artificial intelligence-based solutions.
It disclosed major strategic partnerships in the field of clean energy with Google, in a step that supports its vision to be the first government in the world to fully rely on artificial intelligence.
This was part of the events of the Abu Dhabi Government pavilion during the third day of the ‘GITEX Global Technology Exhibition 2025’, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, where the Abu Dhabi government announced six strategic partnerships covering the fields of sustainable energy, education, training of governmental human resources and digital infrastructure, highlighting the impact of cooperation between various sectors in accelerating the digital transformation journey in the emirate.
Ahmed Tamim Hisham Al-Kattab, Head of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi said: "We aim to generalize the use of artificial intelligence across various government sectors, ensuring digital inclusion for all employees who will soon have the tools to build smart solutions that serve the community. With our partnerships in clean energy, we prove that sustainable innovation and digital transformation go hand in hand towards achieving the future we aspire to in Abu Dhabi."
The "AI in a Box" initiative, in collaboration with UnifyApps platform, aims to enable all Abu Dhabi government employees to design and deploy artificial intelligence applications without needing programming experience. The platform will integrate with existing governmental digital systems and will be implemented in all government entities in the second quarter of 2026, creating a qualitative leap in how Abu Dhabi government employees provide government services to individuals in the emirate.
To support this initiative, the Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi, announced new partnerships in the field of artificial intelligence skills with Amazon Web Services and Oracle to develop specialized training programs in the areas of cybersecurity and data management, as part of the professional learning and development platform "Ambition 2.0".
The Department of Energy – Abu Dhabi revealed three new partnerships aimed at enhancing the digital transformation in the Abu Dhabi government towards full reliance on artificial intelligence, with a sustainable infrastructure that supports Abu Dhabi’s efforts in achieving climate neutrality by 2050, and enhancing its advanced digital capabilities.
The "Tam 4.0" platform announced the addition of two new categories of services, bringing the total number of services the platform offers to more than 1,100 integrated government and private services accessible through a unified platform. By integrating services from the Abu Dhabi Securities Market, users can access their investment portfolios, view live market data, and manage national investor numbers directly through "Tam", eliminating the need to navigate between multiple platforms. The platform, in partnership with Emirates Driving Institute, added comprehensive driving training services, including defensive driving courses, eco-friendly driving and off-road training, to facilitate the entire learning journey, from registration to obtaining a driving license.
The partnerships announced on the third day at the Abu Dhabi Government pavilion align with the emirate's vision in transforming towards the first government fully reliant on artificial intelligence, in a comprehensive integrated approach that combines empowering human resources, sustainable infrastructure, and smart services.
Throughout the exhibition, the Abu Dhabi government will continue to unveil new innovations that demonstrate how governance based on artificial intelligence can offer smarter, more responsive, and sustainable services to all.
