Khaberni - Vivo officially announced the global launch of the OriginOS system, after it had been exclusive to users in China for five years, replacing FuntouchOS in the international markets, in a move described as a watershed moment in the world of smartphone operating systems.

According to a report published by GSMArena, the new system, named OriginOS 6 and based on Android 16, represents a significant leap in design and user experience, thanks to the deep integration of artificial intelligence technologies and advanced graphical enhancements developed by the company.

Vivo will begin implementing the new system on the vivo X300 and X300 Pro, gradually extending to other devices including X Fold5 and the X200 series, as well as iQOO 13 and iQOO Neo10 phones, over the coming months and until 2026.

OriginOS 6 focuses on enhancing overall performance by accelerating app launches and data loading, improving frame rate stability during gaming, which provides users with a smoother and more responsive experience.

The system is equipped with an entirely new graphics engine, offering smoother visual transitions and more lifelike motions that mimic natural experiences, significantly enhancing the interaction quality with the interface to an unprecedented level.

In the global release, Vivo adopted a modern design philosophy named Origin Design, which focuses on unifying visual interface elements using transparency and blurred gradients in a more consistent and balanced manner, giving the system an elegant and eye-pleasing character.

To enhance visual identity, the company launched its own typeface named Vivo Sans, supporting over 40 languages worldwide, and allowing users to adjust letter thickness to facilitate reading and improve the overall appearance of texts across different devices.

Among the notable new features in the system is Origin Island, an interactive interface inspired by the Live Updates feature in Android 16, enabling immediate commands like Copy & Go to copy a number and call it directly, or Drag & Go to edit photos without having to leave the app.

Vivo also enhanced its collaboration with Google to expand the scope of artificial intelligence technologies within the system, integrating tools such as the smart assistant Gemini and the Circle to Search feature seamlessly into the interface, which makes the experience more integrated and faster.

With this step, Vivo officially enters the race of global companies betting on deeply integrating artificial intelligence into operating systems, competing with tech giants like Samsung, Google, and Xiaomi, and opening a new chapter in the world of smartphones that combines beauty, performance, and intelligence.
