Khaberni - News of the death of the famous Turkish artist Ibrahim Tatlis has topped social media platforms in Turkey and the Arab world in recent hours, after rumors claimed his death was due to a traffic accident.

The rumor started from anonymous posts across platforms, which caused concern among his fans, and Turkish media quickly denied the news categorically, confirming that Tatlis, aged 73, is in good health, and goes about his daily life normally in Istanbul.

Prominent Turkish newspapers like "Manisa Manchet" confirmed that "the circulated news has no basis in fact", indicating that sources close to the family reassured his fans that the famous Turkish artist's health condition is completely stable.

Tatlis was born in 1952 in the city of Sanliurfa, southern Turkey, and grew up in a humble family, where he worked in his youth as a street vendor and construction worker, before paving his way to fame, and he began his artistic career in the 1970s, to become one of the most important symbols of Turkish folk singing during the 1980s.

Tatlis has released more than 40 music albums, and starred in about 30 films, among which are notable ones like "Let's Talk", "Salama Olsoon". His famous TV show "Ibo Show" achieved tremendous success since the 1990s, and even more so with its revival in 2020, where he hosted a selection of stars from the Turkish and Arab art scene.

Assassination attempt
In 2011, Ibrahim Tatlis survived a miraculous assassination attempt by gunfire in Istanbul, during which he sustained serious head injuries, but miraculously survived, and after a long treatment journey, he gradually returned to his artistic and social life.

In Turkey, Ibrahim Tatlis is nicknamed "The Emperor", and he is one of the most influential artists in Turkish popular culture, where his songs are part of the people's ethos and collective memory.
