Khaberni - A disabled boy was subjected to a violent assault last night while returning home from his job at a barbershop in the Wadi Al-Seer area in the capital, Amman.
According to eyewitnesses, a group of young men ambushed the victim while he was walking and suddenly attacked him. They brutally beat him and injured him with a sharp object in his face, resulting in deep wounds that required 22 medical stitches.
Relatives of the boy indicated that he suffers from a spinal curvature and is considered disabled, which intensified the cruelty of the attack and its psychological impact, amid public demands for the arrest and legal prosecution of the perpetrators.
The victim's family has appealed to the Public Security Directorate and the Criminal Investigation Department for urgent action to ensure their son's rights are not lost, stressing that the incident caused them a significant humanitarian shock.
