After Winning the Ballon dOr Dembélés First Request from His Clubs Management

Khaberni - After winning the Ballon d'Or for the best player in the world in 2025, Paris Saint-Germain and French national team star Ousmane Dembélé requested a significant salary increase, according to media reports.

As reported by "Monte Carlo Sport" radio, people close to Dembélé, who earns about 1.5 million euros per month as the highest paid among his colleagues, are aiming to leverage this significant individual achievement to improve his financial deals with the Parisian club.

The source mentioned that the 28-year-old player asked Paris Saint-Germain for a significant increase in his salary, without specifying the amount of this increase.

The French newspaper "L'Équipe" also confirmed, quoting close sources, that Dembélé's contract, signed with Paris Saint-Germain in August 2023, includes a clause that allows him to negotiate with the club management to raise his wage, especially in case of winning the Ballon d'Or.

Dembélé's contract with the European champion expires in 2028, and it will be upon the club's management to negotiate the salary of their star player.

Sporting advisor to the club, Luis Campos, told "Monte Carlo Sport" radio before the Ballon d'Or winners were announced, that "the wage policy applies to everyone, and will also apply to Dembélé even if he wins the award."

The club also rejected the financial demands of its former goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, despite him being one of the prominent contributors to winning the UEFA Champions League the previous season, which led him to move to Manchester City.
