Arab Amman University Enhances Digital Education through the Workshop Employing Games in Education in Cooperation with the Jor

Khaberni - In the context of the joint collaboration between Arab Amman University and the Jordan Gaming Lab, coordinated by the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and in cooperation with the College of Information Technology at Arab Amman University, the Jordan Gaming Lab held a specialized training workshop at its headquarters in the King Hussein Business Complex for a number of faculty members from the College of Information Technology and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Arab Amman University in the field of: "Game Development ToT using Minecraft Education," as part of the university's efforts to enhance digital education skills and innovation among faculty members.
The workshop aimed to introduce the faculty members to the capabilities of the Minecraft Education platform and its role in developing creative thinking skills, teamwork, and problem-solving among students through an interactive learning environment based on play and experiential learning. The workshop also included practical interactive applications that allowed participants to experience designing educational lessons using the game and integrating it with academic curricula.
In this regard, Engineer Hussein Bino, the general supervisor of the Jordan Gaming Lab initiative, stressed during the workshop the importance of integrating educational games into the university education system as an effective tool to stimulate students' learning and develop 21st-century skills.
The Center for Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship at Arab Amman University appreciated this constructive collaboration with the Jordan Gaming Lab, noting that this workshop comes within the framework of the cooperation agreement signed between the two parties, which aims to exchange expertise and implement joint training programs and initiatives in the fields of educational technology, game design, and innovation in education.
In turn, Dr. Rami Sahweil, Dean of the College of Information Technology, emphasized the importance of this training program for faculty members aimed at developing their skills in employing educational games in the teaching process to enhance interactive learning and innovation in education.
It is noted that Arab Amman University, through these partnerships, strives to keep up with modern developments in the field of digital education and to provide its academic staff with modern tools and technologies that contribute to the development of a stimulating educational environment and meet future requirements.
