Khaberni - Arab Bank has offered its platinum sponsorship for the "NASA Space Apps 2025" hackathon, held by the MENA non-profit organization under the auspices of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, and with the participation of over 250 young men and women from various governorates of the kingdom. This sponsorship comes as part of Arab Bank's commitment to its community responsibility and its support for initiatives that open new horizons for Jordanian youth in the fields of science, technology, and innovation.
This event, which aims to enhance science and innovation and empower youth, is part of the largest global scientific hackathon organized by NASA in collaboration with its international partners. It takes place simultaneously in over 160 countries and 400 cities around the world. The hackathon aims to stimulate creativity and use NASA's open data to develop innovative solutions that help address global challenges in the areas of space, Earth, climate, and energy.
The two-day event held at "The ARC" in King Hussein Business Park saw the participation of a group of programmers, designers, scientists, and entrepreneurs. The event included a series of workshops, mentoring sessions, and technical challenges. Participants had the opportunity to develop their skills in creative thinking, programming, scientific communication, and sustainable innovation. The challenge also provided a platform for collaboration between students, entrepreneurs, and industry experts to find practical solutions to Earth and space challenges.
Engineer Salam Abu Al-Hija, the founder and executive director of the MENA organization and the official representative of the NASA Space Apps Challenge in Jordan, emphasized the importance of this event in empowering Jordanian youth, saying: "We are proud of our cooperation with Arab Bank, the Platinum Sponsor of the 'NASA Space Apps 2025' hackathon, which reflects the bank's commitment to supporting scientific and technological initiatives aimed at youth."
