Khaberni - The Kremlin said that Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet on Wednesday with Syrian President Ahmad Al-Shara, who is on a working visit to Moscow.
This is the first visit Al-Shara has made to Russia since the opposition factions overthrew Moscow's ally, President Bashar Al-Assad, last year.
An official Syrian source revealed that Al-Shara is scheduled to discuss the continuation of the Russian naval base in Tartus, and its air base in Hmeimim.
The source added that Al-Shara will also formally request Russia to extradite the former Syrian president, Bashar Al-Assad, an ally of Russia, for trial on "crimes against Syrians."
