Khaberni - "Sotheby's" auction house has announced its intention to sell a motorcycle signed by Pope Leo XIV of the Vatican, at an auction in Munich next Saturday.
The pope signed on the white BMW motorcycle in September, in the Vatican, where pictures on the auction house’s website show him sitting on the bike and holding a helmet.
The vehicle was brought to Rome by a group calling themselves "Jesus Bikers", who rode it from the German town of Schafheim to St. Peter's Square in a journey that lasted three days.
It is expected that the motorcycle will reach a value between 40,000 euros (46,000 dollars) and 60,000 euros at the Saturday auction, and Sotheby's said that the proceeds from the sale will go to the Papal Mission Societies in Austria to support children in Madagascar.
