UAEs Chances of Qualifying for the 2026 World Cup

Khaberni - The UAE team missed the opportunity to qualify directly for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, after losing to their Qatari counterparts with a score of 1-2 in the Asian playoffs.

"Al-Abyad" ranked second in the first group with three points, behind Qatar with four points, while the Omani team ranked last with just one point.
Despite their defeat to "Al-Annabi" and failing to qualify directly for the World Cup in the Asian playoffs, the UAE team still holds onto hope, as they have one last chance to secure a World Cup ticket,

"Al-Abyad" will play a decisive match against the runner-up of the second group, the Iraqi team, after they drew with their Saudi counterparts scorelessly. If they win, they will play in the fifth and final stage, which is a global playoff.

Details of the global playoff:

The playoff tournament will include one team from each federation, except for the European federation "UEFA", with an additional team from the host federation "CONCACAF", making a total of six teams.

Thus, the European teams will be outside the scope of the deciding tournament, which includes teams from "Asia, Africa, South America, Oceania," and two teams from North America.

Based on the performances of the teams in the continental federation rankings, then the global ranking, the six teams will be divided into two categories: (two ranked teams) and (four unranked teams).

The two unranked teams will each play in a one-match semifinal, then the winner advances to the final match, facing a ranked team.

The deciding tournament concludes with two final matches, where the winner of each match qualifies for the 2026 World Cup, completing the last two slots.
