Khaberni - Grief descended upon the Azazmeh tribe, particularly the Al-Mohammedi family, following the disaster that resulted in the drowning of three sibling children in the King Abdullah Canal in the Dire Alla area in Balqa Governorate, yesterday Tuesday.
Social media relayed the feelings of sadness and condolences from the members of the tribe and the Jordanians at large, who expressed their solidarity with the children's family, praying to God to comfort their hearts and to envelop them in His vast mercy, and to make them intercessors for their parents.
In the details of the incident, the spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate said that the specialized diving teams from the Balqa Civil Defense Directorate dealt with a tragic drowning incident yesterday involving three children (two boys and a girl) aged between 3 to 7 years inside the King Abdullah Canal.
He added that the operations room received a report of the incident, after which diving teams immediately moved to the site, and managed to find the three children in the waters of the canal.
He explained that they were rescued and first aid was administered on the site, and then they were transported to the Princess Iman Government Hospital, where they passed away, may God have mercy on them all.
He confirmed that an investigation had been opened into the incident to determine its causes and circumstances.
