Khaberni - The former president of Al-Wehdat Club, Tareq Sami Khoury, commented on the recent negative results of the Nashama team, which ended with losses against the teams of Bolivia and Albania, calling for the national team's technical director Jamal Salami to resign and make way for a coach who possesses direct World Cup experience.
Khoury expressed his appreciation for achieving the World Cup finals qualification, describing it as a "historic achievement," but he emphasized that the next phase requires different preparation under technical leadership with practical experience at the world tournament level.
Khoury, in a message posted on Facebook and monitored by Khaberni, pointed out that Salami's continuation in his position despite the achievement might delay the required preparations, stressing that resigning at this time would be a brave national stance, and would spare the football association and His Highness Prince Ali the embarrassment of making a decision to change.
Khoury concluded his message by affirming that this is the last time he will comment on the issue, being cautious not to negatively impact the team's focus in the upcoming period.
