Khaberni - In Sadat City, Monufia Governorate in Egypt, an extraordinary scene unfolded with the kickoff of one of the Ramadan tournaments, which quickly dominated the interests of social media users, after a symbolic encounter that brought together a Sheikh and a Priest at the start.
The event soon turned into a friendly competition between them through penalty kicks, amid celebratory atmosphere and cheerful commentary that gave the event a notable humane touch and increased audience engagement.
The organizers of the tournament praised the presence of Sheikh "Ahmed al-Fiqi" and the Priest "Abigol", affirming that football remains a unifying space that knows no division.
The spontaneous performance of the match commentator Muaz Maher greatly contributed to the widespread sharing of the video clip, after he launched light-hearted phrases that were well-received by the viewers, including: "a match that proves spiritual strength," before jokingly comparing a save to "better than a save by Egypt's national team goalkeeper, Mohamed El-Shenawy," in a scene that combined humor and a symbolic message.
One of the commentators praised the spirit of tolerance and coexistence in Egypt, saying: "Someone from the villages of the Arab Republic of Egypt told me that the Copts during Ramadan do not eat in the streets and even abstain from smoking, following the example of their Muslim neighbors."
Meanwhile, another humorous response came from a woman who said: "Our maulana needed a bit more warm-up while (our father) was ready... May God strengthen your faith, maulana, truly a beautiful thing."
