Khaberni - The Palestinian Presidency vehemently condemned today, Tuesday, the field executions carried out by Hamas in recent days, which involved dozens of citizens in the Gaza Strip, outside the boundaries of the law and without any fair trials.
The Presidency described these crimes as heinous and unacceptable under any circumstances.
It emphasized that what occurred represents a crime and a blatant violation of human rights, a serious breach of the principle of the rule of law, and reflects the movement's determination to impose its authority by force and terrorism, at a time when our people in Gaza are suffering from the ravages of war, destruction, and siege.
The Presidency confirms that the law is the only reference, and that practices of this kind affect the unity of the Palestinian people and their social fabric, and are completely contrary to national and ethical values, and to the ongoing efforts to unify the Palestinian state institutions under one authority, one law, and one weapon.
The Presidency calls for an immediate cessation of these violations, for the protection of unarmed citizens, and for ensuring accountability for everyone involved in these crimes, within the framework of Palestinian legal and judicial legitimacy.
The Presidency also emphasized that the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the state of Palestine, and that restoring the rule of law and legitimate institutions therein is the only way to end the state of chaos, and to rebuild national trust based on justice, accountability, and respect for the dignity of the Palestinian individual.
The Presidency holds Hamas fully responsible for these crimes, which harm the supreme interests of our people, in terms of seeking to entrench Hamas' rule in Gaza, which provides pretexts for the occupation and will cause prevention of reconstruction, entrench division, and prevent the establishment of a free and independent state of Palestine.
