Khaberni - His Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, met with the British State Minister for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs, Yvette Cooper, in London today, Tuesday.
The Crown Prince lauded the excellent relations between Jordan and Britain, noting the alignment of visions between the two countries regarding achieving peace in the Middle East.
His Highness appreciated the UK's decision to recognize the State of Palestine, emphasizing the need to take serious steps towards achieving a fair and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution.
The Crown Prince stressed the necessity of ensuring the implementation of the agreement to end the war in Gaza, and enhancing the humanitarian response to alleviate the suffering of its people.
There was an emphasis on the importance of supporting the efforts of the Palestinian National Authority to serve the interests of the Palestinian people, and supporting the efforts of Syria and Lebanon to maintain their stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
The meeting was attended by the Jordanian Ambassador in London, Manar Al-Dabbas, and the Director of the Crown Prince's Office, Dr. Zaid Al-Baqaeen.
