Khaberni - The President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan met with old and new faculty members, in the presence of the Vice President for Academic Affairs and the Dean of the Faculty of Dental Medicine, Professor Dr. Ahmed Hamdan, Dean of Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Ahmed Abu Araby, and the President's Assistant for Accreditation, Quality and Planning, and the Director of Human Resources and Institutional Development, Dr. Iyad Sha'ban.
The President of the University congratulated the new faculty members on joining the university family, wishing them success and affirming the importance of their role as active partners in improving the quality of educational outputs and scientific research, and enhancing community service and development, noting the university's pride in welcoming a distinguished academic elite to its ranks.
Dr. Hamdan talked during the meeting about the university's vision to develop an educational environment that stimulates students and faculty members through the introduction of new and unique specialties that align with the needs of the local, regional, and international markets, and he referenced the achievements the university has recently made in global and local rankings, marking an unprecedented scientific achievement by achieving first place among Jordanian universities in the (401–500) global category in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2026, which is among the most prestigious academic rankings globally.
This achievement is the fruit of the ambitious strategic vision that the university adopts in supporting scientific research and enhancing the quality of education, alongside excellence in academic performance and international cooperation, thanks to the efforts of both teaching and administrative bodies and the ongoing support from the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Maher Al-Horani, and his deputy, Mr. Omar Al-Horani, which has contributed to enhancing the university's position as an advanced educational institution on the global stage.
In turn, Dean of Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Ahmed Abu Araby emphasized the importance of continuing support for the research journey as it is the fundamental pillar for accreditations and academic rankings, both locally and internationally, pointing out the commitment of the Dean's office to develop and support research projects in line with future aspirations.
At the end of the meeting, the new faculty members expressed their gratitude to the University President for this meeting, which provided them with the opportunity for direct dialogue, exchange of opinions, and to listen to their observations and suggestions, which Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan answered with all transparency and clarity.
