A member of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior apprehended with drugs and a weapon after a collision

Khaberni - A statement issued by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior said, "Jahra Governorate Emergency Management personnel succeeded in apprehending a Ministry of Interior member after finding substances suspected to be narcotics, a firearm, and ammunition, while responding to an emergency call (112) regarding a collision and injury in the Al-Naeem area."

It was added that the apprehension of the suspect is part of the ongoing security efforts by the General Department of Emergency Police to maintain security and control lawbreakers. It was noted that while security personnel were addressing the report, one of the individuals involved in the incident appeared to be in an abnormal state. Upon inspection, it was revealed that he was a member of the ministry, and upon a precautionary search of the vehicle, a quantity of pills suspected to be drugs of the "Lyrica" type, a piece of hashish, suspected drug-use tools, a 9mm firearm, several rounds, and a varied ammunition magazine were found inside.

The statement mentioned that necessary legal measures were taken, where the individual and his vehicle were referred to the Al-Naeem police station and then transferred to the General Department for Drug Control to complete the investigations and procedures related to the incident.

The Ministry of Interior affirmed that no one is above the law, and that security personnel will remain committed to enforcing the law firmly and justly on everyone without exception, to uphold the prestige of the security institution and maintain the security and stability of the society.
