Horrific Crime with Mysterious Motives Yemeni Man Kills 3 of His Children

Khaberni - Yemeni media unveiled a crime that shook Yemen, where a man in his fifties from Mazhar Directorate in Raimah Province, who had recently returned from abroad, killed 3 of his children.

In statements to the "Yemen Daily News" website, journalist Mohammad Al-Ja’mani, from Raimah Province, revealed details of this horrific crime.

Al-Ja’mani reported that the father had returned from Saudi Arabia about a month ago, after being away for years, and married a second wife just two weeks ago, where his daughter came from Al Hudaydah Governorate to attend his wedding, while one of his sons returned from abroad, and their third son arrived from Al-Jabeen city, the center of the province.

The journalist added that "the father recently took his family to what is locally known as 'Ridat Al-Jadd,' a traditional visit to the family of the second wife after the wedding, and then they all returned to their home in Al-Joun where the atmosphere seemed normal until nightfall."

He continued: "Late at night, while the family was gathered in the sitting area, the father suddenly opened fire on his sons with a burst of bullets from his automatic weapon, leading to the immediate death of three of his sons: Yusuf (30 years old), Fares (20 years old), and their sister in the third decade of her life, while another daughter miraculously escaped after running to the neighbors' house seeking help."

He went on: "After the incident, the local residents rushed to the house to find the bodies bloodstained, and while the father had fled before they could chase him, they captured him and handed him over to the security authorities, while the bodies were transported to the morgue of the general hospital in the directorate."

According to "Yemen Daily News", the motives for the crime are still unclear, while local sources mentioned that the perpetrator was suffering from psychological disorders and crushing living pressures.

Al-Ja’mani pointed out that Raimah Province has witnessed several incidents of mysterious killings and deaths in recent weeks, the first being the discovery of a murdered person in Kasema Directorate, with conflicting reports about the cause of his death, and the second being the discovery of a charred body in the capital center of the province, Al-Jabeen, belonging to a woman killed by her husband, who burned her body, dismembered it, and distributed it across multiple locations to hide the crime.
