Khaberni - A regrettable incident occurred in Salhiya Village 3 in Husseiniya Center, Sharqia, Egypt, where a housewife stripped of her emotions smashed her husband's head while he was deep asleep, then set him on fire due to his mistreatment of her.
Major General Omar and Raouf, the Director of Security in Sharqia, received a report from the locals of Salhiya Village 3 in Husseiniya Center about a fire in an elderly man's house, and that the fire had consumed the contents and the body of the homeowner.
The investigations, supervised by Major General Mohamed Adel, the Director of Criminal Investigations in Sharqia, revealed that the perpetrator was the deceased’s 60-year-old wife and there were disputes between her and her husband due to his mistreatment of her, and that well-wishers had intervened to reconcile them to no avail.
On the day of the incident, she resolved and intended to get rid of him, waited until he was deep in sleep, then struck him on the head with a large stone causing him to lose consciousness, then quickly set fire to his body to mislead the police into thinking his death was due to the fire. She was arrested and referred to the prosecution which decided to detain her for 4 days and assigned forensic medicine to examine the body and determine the cause of death and allowed for its burial, while intensifying investigations around the incident.
