The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate said that yesterday, the Irbid Governorate Police Directorate and its Traffic Department received a report of a pedestrian accident on a public street in the city of Irbid. The spokesperson added that after proceeding with the investigation and hearing testimonies, investigators became convinced that the incident was staged and that the individual had intentionally thrown himself onto the vehicle, a fact confirmed by a video obtained later from the scene of the incident. The spokesperson emphasized that the driver's awareness and adherence to legal procedures prevented him from falling victim to scammers who stage pedestrian accidents. He urges drivers that when such incidents occur, it is crucial to follow legal procedures, especially since traffic management investigators possess the skills, competence, and tools necessary to determine whether an accident was staged or not.
