Sudden Heart Attack Death of a Bodybuilding Legend Vegetarian

Khaberni - The British "Daily Mail" revealed today, Friday, the death of bodybuilding legend and Indian actor Varinder Singh Ghuman at the age of 42, amid shock in the sports community.

The report mentioned that Ghuman, who was famous for being one of the first professional vegetarian bodybuilders in the world, suffered a sudden heart attack (cardiac arrest) on Thursday while receiving treatment in the hospital for a shoulder injury.

Details of the death and the hospital's message
Fortis Escorts Hospital issued an official statement clarifying the athlete's last hours.

The statement mentioned that Ghuman, who did not suffer from any known chronic diseases, had been evaluated on October 6th due to shoulder pain and was advised to undergo surgery.

The statement added: "At around 3:35 PM, the patient suffered a sudden cardiac arrhythmia, and immediately, the teams of anesthesia, cardiology, and intensive care started advanced resuscitation procedures, and despite the coordinated and ongoing efforts, the doctors were unable to revive the patient, and his death was announced at 5:36 PM".

Who is Ghuman?
Ghuman hailed from Gurdaspur in India, and gained fame a decade ago by winning the title "Mr. India" in 2009 and finishing second in "Mr. Asia".

His success subsequently led to recognition by bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger, who later appointed him to promote his health products in Asia.
