Khaberni - The Chinese technology company Deep Robotics has unveiled an industrial robot named "DR02", a human-like robot designed to work in all weather conditions.

The company, based in Hangzhou, claims it is the world's first human-like robot to achieve an "IP66" protection rating, making it resistant to dust and rain.

Most robots available in the market struggle to work in real conditions where temperatures vary, limiting their practical use, according to a report viewed on "Interesting Engineering" by "Al Arabiya Business".

"Deep Robotics" aims to overcome this significant challenge with its "DR02" robot. Unlike its competitors such as "Agibot", "Unitree Robotics", and "UBTech", "DR02" features an "IP66" protection rating, making it highly resistant to dust and water.

The robot is 175 cm tall and weighs about 65 kg, designed to withstand outdoor conditions, and can operate in temperatures ranging from 20 below zero to 55 below zero, enduring humidity, rain, and dust.

"DR02" has a normal walking speed of 1.5 meters per second, and it can accelerate to 4 meters per second when needed. The robot can also climb slopes with an inclination of up to 20 degrees and lift up to 10 kg.

Engineers can quickly swap the robot's main components, including arms and legs, to reduce downtime during maintenance when needed.

According to "Deep Robotics", "DR02" provides computing power of 275 trillion operations per second and features an advanced array of sensors, including "LiDAR", depth sensors, and wide-angle cameras.

The company did not reveal details about the robot's autonomy, operating duration, or cost.

The launch of "DR02" indicates the company's intention to expand its production line to include bipedal robots, thus surpassing its prominent global status in the market of quadruped robots.
