Khaberni - After hours of global confusion, Microsoft announced its success in addressing the sudden glitch that affected its Microsoft 365 productivity service suite, causing widespread disruption that confused millions of users around the world.
In an official update the company posted on the service status page through the "X" platform (formerly Twitter), it explained that the outage was due to "an incorrect setup in part of the network infrastructure in North America," confirming that it was able to identify the fault and completely repair it.
The glitch, which lasted several hours, led to the disruption of several core services within the system, such as Microsoft Teams and Exchange Online, according to initial reports by Reuters, causing a temporary paralysis of communication and collaboration systems within institutions and businesses that rely on these tools to manage their daily operations.
While user complaints were increasing at an accelerated pace, the "DownDetector" website, which specializes in monitoring technical outages, showed a decrease in the number of outage reports from 17,000 users at the peak of the crisis to only 136 users by 5:38 PM Eastern Time in the United States.
It is noted that "DownDetector" data is based on user reports from multiple sources, which means that the numbers might not reflect the true scale accurately, but they provide a clear indication of the extent of the crisis faced by one of the most used services in the modern digital world.
