97 of UAE Residents Use Artificial Intelligence

Khaberni - A recent study by the global professional services firm "KPMG" confirmed that the UAE continues its global leadership in the field of training on artificial intelligence applications and enhancing their adoption.

The study showed that the majority of residents in the UAE are more aware of the benefits of new technology in their life paths than their counterparts in other countries, with a rate of 89% compared to a global average of 83%.

According to the UAE's news agency "WAM", the "Artificial Intelligence Usage Trends and User Confidence" report, issued by "KPMG" in collaboration with the University of Melbourne, stated that about 97% of the participants residing in the UAE use artificial intelligence in the fields of work, study, or personal life.

66% of them indicated that their institutions and companies implement clear policies to regulate the use of generative artificial intelligence tools, reflecting the growing general acceptance of this technology in the UAE.

The report, which is the first assessment at the level of countries that focuses exclusively on individuals' attitudes towards artificial intelligence uses, provides a comprehensive picture of the UAE's status as a model to be emulated among the countries in the region in the responsible adoption of modern technology, where 65% of the participants expressed their readiness to rely on the information provided by artificial intelligence systems, while more than half of them, 53%, believed that the benefits of technology outweigh its risks.

68% of participants in the UAE indicated that the current legislation is sufficient to ensure the safe use of artificial intelligence technologies, a percentage notably higher than the global average of 43%.

About 73% of the participants mentioned that they are cautious of digital content due to the possibility of it being generated by artificial intelligence, while 36% expressed distrust in their ability to distinguish between real and misleading information resulting from these technologies.

Mateen Jozdani, partner for Data, Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence at "KPMG Lower Gulf," said that artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping our professional and daily lives, and the report's findings confirm that there is broad acceptance of this technology in the UAE.
