Khaberni - Social media buzzed with pictures of a Japanese engineer working at "Honda," thanks to his striking look inspired by famous anime characters, as well as his impressive professional record which includes hundreds of patents and remarkable athletic achievements.
According to the "south china morning post," Shotaro Udati, head of the Advanced Technology Development department at "Honda Motor," has captured attention with his peculiar hairstyle that resembles anime characters like "Kakashi" from Naruto and "the Saiyans" from Dragon Ball.
This unique hairstyle, which he has maintained for more than five years, has made him a distinctive icon in the strict world of Japanese industry, and he periodically garners public interest on social media.
In a Japanese program, Udati recounted that his hair is naturally tough and easily frizzed, and his lack of sleep makes his appearance shaggy in the morning. However, he decided years ago to stop wasting time on traditional styling, simply using a bit of gel to set his flyaways.
Despite his odd appearance among colleagues who wear the formal white uniform of "Honda," they hold great respect for him, considering his serious personality and innovative mindset to outweigh any unconventional appearance.
Udati is among the bright minds in the company, holding 253 patents in areas related to safe driving technologies. He started his journey at "Honda" in 2003 as a designer specializing in seatbelts, before moving on to develop driver assistance technologies, affirming that his work philosophy is based on the principle: "The greatest safety is when nothing happens".
Interestingly, his hairstyle contributed to testing one of his team's innovations, a smart camera system that tracks the driver's eye movement to detect fatigue or loss of focus. Udati himself served as a model for the experiment to see how well the camera could track his partially obscured left eye by strands of his hair.
Udati's distinctiveness is not limited to his technical genius; it also extends to his amazing physical fitness, as he exercises daily to alleviate work pressures, and can bench press weights up to 170 kilograms for five consecutive reps.
Udati has transformed into an online inspiration icon, where followers described him as "a real-life version of anime heroes," praising his dedication and ability to succeed in a stringent work environment without giving up his unique personality.
