Khaberni - Media reports have confirmed that Barcelona continues its pursuit to sign a new striker to bolster the team's ranks starting from the next season.
The Transfer News Live account on X stated that the Catalan club plans to contract a surprising striker to succeed Robert Lewandowski, as the veteran Polish striker's contract nears its end next summer.
It explained: "Barcelona's management has its eyes on Guinean striker Serhou Guirassy from Borussia Dortmund, to be the future replacement in the forward line".
It added: "The 28-year-old striker has been performing outstandingly in the German league, where he scored 44 goals and provided 12 assists in 58 matches since his move to Dortmund from Stuttgart in 2024".
It continued: "Although the German club values the player at about 100 million euros, his contract includes a clause that allows his departure for only 65 million euros, making the deal attractive for Barcelona, who is looking to rebuild its attack".
It concluded: "The move towards Guirassy comes as Lewandowski physically declines and is nearing the end of his career, while the technical staff believes the Guinean striker possesses the physical strength and scoring effectiveness that match the team's style, especially in European competitions".
