First Artistic Reaction of Mohamed Ramadan After Being Referred to Trial

Khaberni - Artist Mohamed Ramadan announces the release of his new song "One Two Three" tomorrow, Wednesday, October 8th, after his ordeal with the song "Number One or Halves" and his referral to trial.

Ramadan posted on his official Instagram account a video clip in which he appeared performing part of the lyrics of his new song, commenting: "If the word one upset you.. what about the song One Two Three tomorrow at 4 PM Egypt time?", mocking the criticism he faced due to his previous song.

Mohamed Ramadan faced a legal crisis in the past weeks following a lawsuit filed against him on the background of his song "Number One or Halves", which led to his criminal trial.

The artist's media office clarified in an official statement that the news circulated about legal violations related to the song is "untrue", confirming that the artist had obtained all necessary licenses and permits from the competent authorities before the song's release.

The statement emphasized Mohamed Ramadan's continuous commitment to respecting the laws and regulations governing artistic work in Egypt.

According to the referral order issued by the prosecution, it stated that the accused "Mohamed R. M.", known as "Mohamed Ramadan", exhibited and broadcast an audio or visual work in a public place without obtaining the required permits from the Ministry of Culture, leading to the lawsuit against him.

It is noted that the song "Number One or Halves", written by Mustafa Haddouta, composed by Mustafa Taj, and arranged by Ehab Kolpix, received widespread dissemination on social media as soon as it was released, before its lyrics caused a legal crisis that ended with its referral to court.
